Planning for my (Gorilla Wood Glue) commercial

 

Props:

The props I am going to use for my gorilla wood glue commercial is two pieces of wood, a bottle of wood glue, and a hammer.

Costumes:

In my commercial I am going to have a friend help me film and be in the video. We will each have costumes. The first costume we will be wearing are our regular clothes so a t-shirt and shorts or leggings. For the second costume we will have a cape either blue or red and we will have masks on over our eyes. We will also be wearing leggings with a back shirt. Our hair we be in a ponytail and we may possibly wear a headband around our head.

Schedule:

10/22/20, I research conventions for gorilla wood glue commercials.

10/23/20, Write the props, costumes, schedule, set, location, and backup plan.

10/27/20, Create 6 box storyboard for the commercial.

10/28/20, Film final 30 second commercial.

10/29/20, Begin editing the commercial.

11/3/20, Finish editing commercial.

Location:

The location my commercial will be at is my backyard, we will be filming us gluing together two pieces of wood with gorilla wood glue. Then we will wait for it to dry. After it dries, we will move over by the pool and we will try to break the pieces of wood apart, but we will not be strong enough so one of us falls into the pool. Then I will film the last scene inside my house.

Backup plan:

If my friend cannot film with me that day, then I will see if my brother can and if he cannot then I will glue the pieces together by myself. I will also try to break the two pieces of wood apart by myself. Then when I cannot break it apart, I will turn into a superhero. If it ends up raining, I will just film it inside and I will not do the pool scene.

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
