Planning for my Music Video


 Song Title:

Girls Just want to have fun.

Props:

The props I am going to us for my music video are umbrellas, a car, camera, coach, record player, TV, dogs, dog toys, whisks, bowls, flowers, and bikes.

Costumes:

There are going to be a lot of costume changes in this music video. I am going to have three different costumes along with my friend. We are each going to wear one fancy dress, that will be colorful. We will wear converse with the dresses. The second costume will be a tank top with jeans and one of us will be wearing a headband and the other will have our hair in a ponytail. The third costume will be an apron with a shirt and pants underneath. The last costume will be a shirt with shorts or a skirt. I will add hair accessories to each of these costumes along with shoes.

Schedule:

11/16/20, research conventions for pop music videos.

11/17/20, write the props, costumes, schedule, set, location, and backup plan.

11/20/20, create 12 box storyboard for the music video.

11/28/20, start filming my music video.

11/29/20, finish filming video.

11/30/20 start editing music video.

12/3/20 finish editing video.

Location:

The location my music video will be at is my house and neighborhood. We will start in my living room and then we will go into the car. We will then pretend to drive someplace. Then I will cut to us riding bikes in my neighborhood. The next scene will be us in my kitchen baking something. Then we will go into my backyard and run around with umbrellas in our hands. We will pretend to take pictures of each other when we are in my backyard with the umbrellas. Lastly, we will play with our dogs in the backyard.

Backup Plan:

In the case that my friend cannot film with me that day then I will either ask another friend or will ask my brother to help me. If I am by myself in the video, then I will still do the same things I will just be the only one doing them. If the weather is bad that day, then I will change some of the scenes to inside instead of outside. For example, I will change the picture taking scene and the dog playing scene to inside the house. I will also cut the scene with the bikes if the weather is too bad.

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. Planning Blog Schedule

Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
