This is my CCR for my latest project. I go into detail about the outcome and process of creating the opening sequence. I enjoyed making this short video. Please enjoy my CCR.

Final Task: The Pink Bow

This is my final task, opening sequence. I learned a lot while creating this for my class, but I also had fun. I hope you enjoy.

Completing Everything

Image
My group and I finished all of the filming and put all of the clips into the editing system. We then finished all of the small editing and cuts that we needed to make. This made it easy for us to begin the edits that made the film interesting. We had to find two different sounds. The first one is camera sounds. We wanted this to come in at the end. We had to edit the parts where we zoom in on the words. We then added the sounds as it zoomed in. This took some time. We wanted it to align perfectly. We then added the music that we found earlier. This went through the whole film. We had to make it less loud on the parts where we were talking. So, we edited it down to make it quieter on those clips. We did not want to make the music go down all the way. We thought this was the best way to do it. Once the music was finished, we went back to the end credits. We had to add the “the” in the end. We had to learn hot to put this into the film. We wanted it to be typing as it was being put in. We...

Finishing Touches

Image
My group and I have now finished most of the editing and all of the filming. We had to finish putting the names on the clips. We began with the first clip. We did not put the title here because the title is the last clip. We put what the movie is. A mystery films. Then we started writing all of the people who helped create the project. We had the people filmed. The writers and much more. We had to spend a lot of time on this. We wanted the peoples names to go on the perfect slide. We also wanted their names to be visible. We had to make sure we were not covering anything important. We also had to position it onto a spot that was not too visible. The clips still have views of important parts that add to the story. So, we had to make sure it was positioned as best as possible. We had to find the perfect font for our story. We wanted it to be mysterious. The font we chose had a typewriter feel to it that adds a sense of uneasiness to it. Once all of the clips were done and all of the name...

Final Filming

Image
We continued to edit all of the clips. We first had to continue to film. We printed out the lost girl poster. We put tape on the back and had to find the perfect place to hang it. We walked around the neighborhood. We found a stop sign that was on a perfect street. We brought the bike with us. Once we hung up the sign, we had to figure out how to film from a high angle. This took some interesting ideas. We ended up deciding it would be easiest to tape it from a hat and have one of us wear it as we ride the bike. After we filmed from a high angle, we had to do an over the shoulder shot. We wanted to put this before the high angle shot in the final film. We practiced the perfect over the shoulder shot. We wanted the person on the bike to start riding away from an over the shoulder shot to a tilt shot. We then finished filming all of the clips needed for the bike scenes. Once we got them all perfect, we started on the car scenes. We had to make sure it was not too loud as the car drove. W...

Continuing to Edit

Image
When we finished cutting every clip down, we started watching it all together to see how it ran through. We wanted to see how everything went together. We also made sure it was all in the correct order. We flipped a few of the clips. The beginning clips could be in any order, so we decided to move them around. The appearance was better after that. It was also smoother than before. Once we moved the clips around, we finished putting in the transitions. The transitions were very important. They needed to not be not noticeable. But there was no way to just cut to the next clip and still have it look good. So, we spent some time making the transitions as smooth as possible. We wanted to make it all go together. Once the transitions were done on the parts with the girls, we had to add transitions to the beginning credits. These transitions could be more noticeable. We actually wanted them to be. We spent time making each clip go into the other. We added fades and motions to make this happen...

Beginning to Edit

Image
Once we finished filming the first few scenes we wanted to start editing. By now we have all of the videos for the opening credits. The videos of the stop signs had to be edited first. We first had to remove the word stop or other controls from the sign. This took some time to get all of the colors correct on the signs. We also had to edit our names onto them. We first typed out the names. Then we put them onto the signs. We also had to make sure the clips were not too long. Given two minutes for the whole film we wanted to spend a good amount of time on both parts. The parts with the story and the credits. We figured out the amount of time all together that the opening credits should have. Once with did that we finished cutting all the scenes. Then we went through what we filmed of the three girls. We did not film all of the scenes in order, so we had to make sure to organize it. We wanted to try our hardest not to get confused when editing. Once we got all of the clips of the girls o...
