Beginning to Edit

Once we finished filming the first few scenes we wanted to start editing. By now we have all of the videos for the opening credits. The videos of the stop signs had to be edited first. We first had to remove the word stop or other controls from the sign. This took some time to get all of the colors correct on the signs. We also had to edit our names onto them. We first typed out the names. Then we put them onto the signs. We also had to make sure the clips were not too long. Given two minutes for the whole film we wanted to spend a good amount of time on both parts. The parts with the story and the credits. We figured out the amount of time all together that the opening credits should have. Once with did that we finished cutting all the scenes. Then we went through what we filmed of the three girls. We did not film all of the scenes in order, so we had to make sure to organize it. We wanted to try our hardest not to get confused when editing. Once we got all of the clips of the girls onto the editing surface, we started cutting them down. We had them all in the correct order, so we had to just cut each clip to the perfect time and pace. This took some time to get perfect. We did not want to cut too much but we also want to remain in the time stand. Once they were all cut down, we added some sharp transitions to make it as smooth as possible. We wanted it to feel as if the viewer was there with them.
