Filming Preparations

We have started our preparations for filming. My partner is Rylie Barnhardt, we worked together to write and prepare our film for taping. We are now in our final preparations before we film our short film. We have worked together on our social media websites to make a place for our viewers to express their opinions and emotions. They can all go on the media sites to see more about the film because of what we provide for them to view. My partner Rylie and I worked together to help the audience feel a part of the film. We made sure the designs expressed the film as best as possible. We used original pictures to show our film. The pictures are key parts of the film. They each represent the film's details and clips. We have planned out the days we want to film. We wanted to make sure it was a day that worked for us. We also still had to find actors that would work with the script and the characters. This took some time and is still making needed changes. We  needed to find three cast members. A girl to play Lily, a guy to play Noah, and another girl to play Charlotte. We needed them to all be in the same age group that is teenagers. We found three actors who fit perfectly with the characters. We are now completely ready to begin filming. We have prepped and prepared all of the things we need to film and be completely ready for the days we have planned to film. We will begin filming this week and we plan on spending a total of three days filming. If we need more we have an extra day everyone is available that we can film as well.

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. After the commercial I made a music video that was longer and more complex than the commercial.  This complexified my knowledge of  filming and  writing plots. Planning Blog Schedule

Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
