How do your products represent social groups or issues?
My product “LIVE” the short film represents social groups and issues in many ways. One way is through the power of emotion represented by our actors in the film. The actors made sure to show emotions if the end of the world was really upon them. This represents social groups and issues because the world may someday end because of the state it is in and issues like the asteroid in our film. Showing how people face this happening is inspiring and can help social groups. Social groups that are concerned about the earth's health and the future of the earth will enjoy this film and the message it sends to the audience. The audience will feel scared and alone like the main character Lily sometimes feels. Issues that are relevant on the earth today are the chance of things like the asteroid in the film or weather causing the earth to threaten civilization. The ending of the film is happy and is spirit lifting that maybe if something to these extremes occurs one day, we will be able to solve it. Social groups that work hard to protect the earth are important and necessary as shown in this film. The film helps express things that are always possible which social groups try to prevent. Other social groups that express interest in same sex love stories will also enjoy this film because it represents things they are passionate about. Social groups and issues are strongly represented in this film as shown in many ways.
How do the elements of your production work together to create a sense of ‘branding’?
Elements in my production work together to create a sense of branding by going well with each other. The elements of my production include love, hope, fear, and more. These elements all go together to create a sense of branding that influences the audience to watch the film. The branding is labeled with emotions that form while watching the film. It brings the audience in because of their interest in the ending and the overall idea of the film. Knowing the asteroid is in the film already helps brand the film. It draws the viewers in because of the possibilities it gives. The storyline and ending are a question to the audience and intrigues them to want to know what ends up happening. The asteroid is branded in this film to draw the audience in. The emotions mixed with the possibilities, brand together to create a story line and a purposeful film that people will want to see. The dark tones in the film mixed with the light positive tones form the perfect film for everyone which also helps brand it. The short film is not long enough to have a big plot, so all the emotions and storylines must be shown in 5 minutes. This means the story must be represented with strong storylines and writing to brand well. The filming of the production also helped create a sense of branding. The shots and angles we took along with the camera quality helped create branding. Putting pictures of the film on our social media along with the website helped sell to the audience what they will be seeing and experiencing. All the elements work together to create a sense of branding.
How do your products engage with the audience?
My products engage with the audience in many ways. The short film itself engages with the audience by being relatable and emotional. The audience will be able to engage with the characters and feel what they are feeling as they hear the news and then go through the day not sure what will happen. The audience can connect with this because they can sense what the characters are feeling and how they react. The audience is also able to comment and communicate with other audience members through the social media this film has. This gives the audience more abilities to speak about how they felt about the film and how they think about what happened or should have happened. There are also ways to give updates about the film and how others respond to the film. Having the audience feel knowledgeable about the films' success will make them feel involved and will keep them engaged. When the audience watches the film, they will feel a part of the movie with all the emotions the characters go through. Having proficient writing and actors to show the story will also help the audience understand the emotions and feel as if they are there with the characters. This will also keep the audience engaged because they will feel more emotionally drawn to the story. Having a website and social media for the film is one of the main ways our products are keeping the audience engaged. The acting and writing is the other. Both products work together to engage with the audience.
