Filming Blog

 I have many ideas for filming my project, but I have not started it yet. I do have a plan however for filming my project. I am first going to start by cutting down the song to only 60 seconds long. I will then start recording the first scene. It will start on the coach with two girls looking bored watching TV. They will then turn off the TV and jump up from the sofa. I will do a full view of the two girls by setting up the camera to show the whole room. I will then cut to them running outside of the front door. I will do two different shots for this scene on will be from the inside going outside and then them running to the car from the outside. Then they will get into the car and start dancing around while pulling out of the driveway. I will film this from the inside of the car and using a close-up of each girl. Then there will be an outside video of the car pulling away. The scene will then cut to the girls riding away on bikes and riding around their neighborhood I will do a shot of them riding from the other side of the street. The scene will then cut again to them in the kitchen whisking something in a bowl. This will be a shot of everything. The video will then cut again to them in their backyard. One of them will have a camera, and the other one will have an umbrella. They will be dressed in fancy dresses and they will be dancing around. One of them will also be posing for pictures. This will be a moving shot and it will have a lot of different angles. The video will end with the girls sitting on the grass and playing with their dog then smiling at each other. The music will then end, and the video will fade away.

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. After the commercial I made a music video that was longer and more complex than the commercial.  This complexified my knowledge of  filming and  writing plots. Planning Blog Schedule

Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
