Editing blog

I started by editing down the song to only 1 minute long. Then I exported all the videos onto my computer. I put them onto my video editing app. Then I started to cut down the videos. I started with the first scene where we are on the coach. I cut parts of the video out, so it was only a few seconds long. Then I added a smooth transition to the front door scene. I showed the girls leaving from the inside then them running outside into the car. After that I cut the video to them pulling out of driveway then to them in the car, I made sure all the transitions were smooth and that they went along with the music well. The next part of the video was of the girls riding their bikes out of their garage and into the street. This transition from the car to the bikes was fast so it seems like no time has passed. When the girls ride around the neighborhood, I made sure the video was short, so it did not take up too much time sense the next scenes are a bit long. I cut that video down a lot and chose the best clips to put in. I once again put in a quick transition to them in the kitchen, I wanted to make sure it seemed like they were doing all of these things at the same time and so that is the point of these transitions. Once the kitchen scene was done, I chose to keep the second to last scene long because it is a fun and important scene. The scene is of a girl modeling with an umbrella and then the other girl taking pictures of her. This scene is supposed to be very upbeat, and it is the ending of the song which is also very upbeat so I wanted to keep it the way I filmed it which was with a lot of different angles. So, I did not edit it down too much. The last scene is the girls playing with the dog then smiling at each other all I did to this scene was edit the beginning then the end down a bit then I added a fade out. The song will end at the same time as the video.
