Filming Blog #2

 I started off filming, with the first scene. This scene was the one on the coach with the girls jumping up off from the coaches, after not finding anything on the TV. I made this a full view of the room, the TV, and the two girls. I did this because I wanted to show how bored the girls were and what they were doing. I then showed them running out of the room. I showed all these things in one recording. I did this so it would be as smooth as possible. The next scene was of the girls running outside from the front door. This was a fast clip just to show how the girls got outside. Then the girls run into the car, one girl is holding car keys and they both look happy. This clip did not have a moving camera I just kept the camera steady. The next scene cuts city girls driving out of the driveway. This scene moves the camera to the right a little bit as the car drives away. Then the video cuts to the girls on bikes riding out of garage. This scene does a sweeping view of the girls riding away. Then it cuts to the girls riding their bikes in their neighborhood, the girls are having fun and waving their arms. The last scene of the girls on the bikes shows them riding home this scene was filmed to show the girls ride past the camera. Then the girls are in the kitchen in different clothes and they are mixing something. I had the girls dance around to show them having a good time. The second to last scene is of the girls in their backyard dancing around, then the camera moves to the left with the girl running to get her phone and an umbrella. She then runs back to the other girl and the camera sweeps right, then she hands Lee umbrella to the girl and the girl with the camera kneels to take pictures of the other girl with the umbrella. I then switch the viewpoint to the girl taking the picture. You can see the girl modeling through her phone. Then the viewpoints switch again to show the girl taking the pictures from the girl modeling viewpoint. The last scene is a placed camera scene where the girls are playing with their dog. They are having fun and then they smile.

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. After the commercial I made a music video that was longer and more complex than the commercial.  This complexified my knowledge of  filming and  writing plots. Planning Blog Schedule

Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
