Starting the Final Task

 I am Karli Norkin, and I am in 10th grade, at Fort Lauderdale High School. I enjoy filming and editing videos and that is why I decided to take media studies. I do my work on time and I try to not procrastinate. I have done my other two projects alone. This project I am doing with a group. I am excited to share ideas and hear other ways of filming and editing that I might not have thought of. I am working with two people, Ashlyn Young and Abby Koppel. They are in a different class as me, but we will work well together. I chose to work with them because I have known them for a long time, and I know they will stay on top of their work. We all had the same idea for what we wanted to make the video about, that is why we thought we would do well together. We all agree on a lot of ideas when it comes to ways of filming and location of the film. We also agreed on what the film should be about, and how to get the story across to the viewer. All three of us are hard working and we try our hardest to make a great film. We all know the work it is going to take and the communication we need to succeed but we know we will do it well together. We have all done projects by ourselves and we are excited to work together. The film is going to be well thought through and as good as possible. My group members and I will make sure of it. We are all going to put in the same efforts and time. Over the course of the project, we will learn how to share ideas and make the film as best as possible. So, I am excited to work with my group.

Comparing 9, the short, and 9, the full-length movie

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. A level Intro Blog

I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. Planning Blog Schedule

Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
