Pitch #1: Fairy tail swap

Think of the movie sleeping beauty, but gender roles are swapped. The evil queen curses the man, and the young, beautiful girl comes to save the day. 

This pitch was the first one to come into our minds that we thought was a decent idea. We got the inspiration from scrolling on Tik Tok and seeing a video about romance, and realized that would make a really good short film. However, finding the people that would want to participate in this would be very hard to do. 

Pitch #2: One day, and my whole life ahead. 

The world is ending, lives are falling apart. There is an asteroid coming to Earth. This girl has one day to live, one day to do everything she has ever wanted to do before she dies. 

This is an interesting idea that we don't think has ever been done before at our school. It's original and stands out. It will be different than the other ideas. It will also be fun to film, and we can incorporate our filming tools. This seems really fun to do, and it could end multiple ways. We both agree that it is an interesting idea. This is the one we are choosing to do. 

Pitch #3: Lonely, but not alone. 

 They walk out of the house like every other morning on the way to school, except somethings different, where is everyone, this isn't just another morning. 

This seems like an exciting idea, however there is no way to limit the amount of people in the area to no one. It is just a extremely hard idea to incorporate into five minutes.

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. After the commercial I made a music video that was longer and more complex than the commercial.  This complexified my knowledge of  filming and  writing plots. Planning Blog Schedule

Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
