Filming Days and Actors

Planning Blog:3 

Filming will begin on Sunday and we will start at Rylie’s house. This is where we will meet the actress who is playing Lily. She will meet us at Rylie’s then we will film the scenes that are at her house. We will not be able to film all of them because there is one with Noah. We will only have the house slightly in it for the scene with Noah on Monday. We now have to change the schedule because once again we have to find different actors. The issues coming up in scheduling is related to the lack of actors we have. Being only a group of two and needing three actors and someone to film is resulting in complications. We are having our main issues in finding a boy to be Noah. We have had many different people say they would be in our film then drop out at the last minute. This is understandable and we expected complications along the way. We were not prepared to have extra actors as backups each time we found people. We should have planned out who could act in our film before deciding on the genders and characters in our film. We may need to change Noah into a girl. We have not been successful in finding a boy to be in it. We have Lily and Charlotte. Karli, me, will be Lily. We have my friend Sasha who is not in our class or group being Charlotte. She has scheduled out the days she can film and we have two set aside for her to film the Lily and Charlotte scenes. We also have possible set dates to film the Lily and Noah scenes. We will film one of the days with Sasha on Monday. We will film on Friday with Sasha as well. Then possibly that Sunday we will film the Noah scenes. They will possibly be with a girl now and not a Noah. We will plan that next class.

  We started off first with watching the short film,9. It was only about 10 minutes long and there was no dialogue during it. When I first watched the film, I thought that there would be some dialogue. Doing, or having would increase the quality of this short film greatly. Not only would it make it better, but easier to understand what the plot is. There were many times throughout this short film where I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know what was going on or the plot throughout the whole film. It was hard to follow without any dialogue.I  had to resort to watching the characters' body language in order to understand what was happening. Maybe the little noises the characters made for each emotion would have been better. But that isn't very easy when they're little rag dolls. I am Karli Norkin, I am in grade 11, and l ast year  I took part  in  as  level Media studies.  Thanks to a lot of hard work and devotion  I  passed and am  now in A level Media studies.  I took the year  to learn the vocabulary and key wording I needed to succeed in the class. I also learned the best ways to film and edit over all my projects.  I started with my commercial. This project was the beginning of my leaning towards filming. This opened me up to new angles and lighting to use.  After the commercial I knew how to create a film overall. The best ways to show the emotions of the  characters , or the best w ay to sell an object. Planning Blog Schedule

Schedule Tuesday 21, 2021- We will begin our filming, by starting the first scene where they are in the kitchen watching the news as they hear that an asteroid is coming to earth. This will be the first scene we will film to get the extra actors and characters out of the way. The next scene we will film on this day is the scene where Lily runs over to her neighbors house to confess her feelings before they die. This will be the last scene we will film on this day. Tuesday 28, 2021- We will continue to film, we will take a break to enjoy the holidays then come back to finish the film. We will start by filming the third scene at the park where the two girls Lily, and Charlotte. We will film the compilation of the girls doing activities on this day as well, we will have to remain on schedule starting with the park then going to the car, bathroom, and backyard.
